Overview

Buckle Up and Hold On because you are on an off-road adventure like no other!  Your drive expertly scales to the top of Barron Mountain for beautiful views in this low-speed roller coaster ride.  With every season you encounter a different tour:  

  • Winter demonstrates the extreme off-road capabilities of our Pinzgauers.  
  • Spring is mud season (say no more). 
  • Summer is great weather and an open air convertible top.  
  • Fall is spectacular foliage with occasional moose, deer and turkeys along the trail.  
All Off-Road tours are located on our 300 private acres, just minutes south of Lincoln NH, on 1700' Barron Mountain.

This tour takes approximately 1.5 hours to complete.

Highlights

During this Off-Road Adventure you'll ride in one of our Pinzgauers, a High-Mobility, All-Terrain 4 or 6-wheel vehicle designed in Austria to transport troops.  With the largest fleet in the United States, we are setup to give you the ride of a lifetime.  We've modified the seating to accommodate 11 guests in bucket seats with lap belts and padded overhead cages.  

  • Hang on it's a Bumpy low speed roller-coaster ride!
  • Experienced and knowledgeable drivers will entertain and educate you on your journey. 
  • On nice days we take the top off to enjoy the ride.  
  • Enjoy beautiful panoramic views from the top of Barron Mountain.
  • Ideal for guests who want to keep their feet on the ground, or who do not meet the restrictions of our zipline tours.

Restrictions

Participants must be:

  • in relatively good physical condition for hiking and jumping.
  • free from neck or back injuries.
  • able to read, listen and understand all rules, procedures, and instructions.
  • of sound body and mind and NOT under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Weight restriction for this activity is a maximum of 300lbs.

Participants must be at least 3 years of age.  Participants under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

All participants need to be able to fit, and be buckled in, our bucket seats.  You can put your child's car seat in the Pinzgauer to make for a safer ride.

Not recommended for expectant mothers, consult your doctor prior to visit.

Tours must have a minimum of 2 participants.

What to Bring

All Alpine Adventure activities require closed toe shoes. We recommend hiking/walking shoes.

You may put your child's car seat in the Pinzgauer for a safer ride.

We recommend you dress for the weather, we operate rain, snow or shine.  Remember gloves after Labor Day and a cap or hat under the helmet for colder weather.  Bring rain gear if it's forecasted.  In an emergency we have some rain jackets available on a first come, first serve basis.

Remember to apply bug repellent and/or sunscreen as appropriate.  Caps may be worn under the helmet if they fit comfortably.  Sunglasses may be worn if they are secure enough to not fall off when you look down and shake your head.
